The Tenth Green Bean.

This post is full of slippery slope and hyperbole, and should only be read at an hour of the day when your intelligence is peaking.

I've been thinking, and can't believe it has taken me this long to post about this when I should have gotten right to it on doom's day, May 24...the day kendall proposed and the day our lives of blogging became mass confusion. I don't know how many of you have actually taken into consideration that mal is becoming a part of the family in two days, therefore presenting the problem that our blog can no longer be named the 9 green beans.

"Who cares?", you say.

But in reality the Green family's identity is about to change forever. You think people will still read our blog 'ir'regardless (refer to cousin bree's blog) of how many of us there are? We are lying to the entire American blogging population. Do we actually want to be known for only having 9 people in our family for the rest of our infinite existence?!?! I don't think so...We are lying to the many amiable people who just want to check up on our family.

It's like the boy who cried wolf.

Kendall gets married, we don't change it, then the day comes when Beau and Jordan get married, we don't change it and it still remains a lie the day I kneel at the alter. So we finally decide to change the name. Then who knows? Who really knows! Because our entire family identity casts a shadow of only nine people, and the newest members go unnoticed.

So what do we do about this problem you may ask? Do we throw someone out? Axel? Make it adults only? No, because he was even here before mal was so he would grow up and be super offended. Then he might become a rebel and fulfill cort's fear of becoming gay. Let's not even go there. But honestly, the first word of the green family blog is nine. And in two days that number will be irrelevant.

It's a risky move though, changing the name, then people might not know who we are and when they try to go to the 9 green beans blog and are faced with the ever-terrible words "Cannot be displayed" in big red letters across the top of their screens. Then they'll think something drastic has happened and they won't know what to do. The whole family has vanished along with their blog. Can you imagine? The trauma.

So I approach you with this ultimatum. Would you rather people hate us for lying to them about the number of people in our family, or people hate us because they get all confused trying to access our blog?

Do we really want to go through with this wedding.

Sedona Yoga Trip

Last week some of us Yoga peeps went to Sedona for a weekend retreat and workshops. It was amazing, we had a great time. Here are some of the pics. I went with my friend Astara from class, she's really cool and can cook really good, lucky me :)

Back from Powell

Shalaine and I went to Lake Powell last week with the youth in our ward. It was an incredible trip. The youth and leaders all had a great time, played a lot, and strengthened our testimonies. We left Axel for a week with Jon and Louann so we missed him but I knew he was in good hands watching plenty of Angel games on TV, and going to the beach with his cousins. I'd send you to Louann's blog to see pictures of his week in Laguna Beach but her blog is private cause only cool people are privilaged enough to access what's going on in her life.

Anyway, here are some pictures of the trip. Also, Mom and Dad thanks for the Bike Seat for our birthdays. We finally took it out this evening for it's first ride and Axel loved it...as you can see from the picture.



We did a lot of tubing, and unfortunately the only life jacket available to me was a girls, but I think I pulled it off nicely.

The Best of Both Worlds

This definitely goes down in history as one of the best 4th of Julys ever. Stadium of Fire

was absolutely amazing. Honoring all the servicemen, the jets, Glen Beck, Blue Man Group all were wonderful. But the highlight was seein my very own favorite HANNAH MONTANA!!!!!!!!!! or Miley Cyrus. She's got the best of both worlds. So do these guys:

Happy Fourth... And Corty, I know I didn't do a post for either yours or Shalaine's birthdays, but I want you both to know I really do look up to you. Always have, and always will. Thanks for setting a strong example as the oldest in our family! Love you both.

Dear Mental Buddy,

Happy 30th birthday! I'm sorry you're getting a blogpost too but I didn't want you to feel left out. If you want me to list 3o reasons why I love you just let me know (cause I sure can!), but I thought I'd spare the public all my cheesiness and just let you know that you have always been a wonderful brother and I've looked up to you my entire life. From your musical gifts to your smarts to your athleticism, you are jut all around talented and have shown what a hard worker you are. I'm always impressed with how dedicated you are to goals and how you seem to do everything you do very well. And for your birthday, I will tell you something that I've never admitted... I think you're the better piano player of the two of us. But I can accept that because you're my cool big brother, so of course you have to show me up in some things. Anyway Cort I love you and I hope you have a wonderful day! (sorry this ended up being a little cheesy anyway, but I mean it).

Hey everyone it's Beau, wow!!

Hey everyone, so this is my first post, Mom won't leave me alone about posting so you can thank her for the privilege you all have to find out what's going on in my life. So this is Roxy the pain in the butt kitten and Hurley the endangered desert tortoise, just my little fam. So basically a lot has been going on with me. I just started back at school at the Southwest Institute of Healing Arts. I'm specializing in Yoga Teaching and Zen Shiatsu Massage. It's a really cool program and I'm definitely in my domain. I am learning so much and gaining some really good skills. My goal was to work with golfers on their core strength and flexibility but I'm open to all possibilities that are being presented and the more I learn the more I know God is directing my life and all I have to do is follow that direction. It's been really fun and challenging and I am so blessed to be part of such a cool up and coming industry. Here's a pic of a couple of us after teaching yoga to kids at a nearby homeless shelter. Maybe I went to serve or maybe just to hang out with the three cuties on my right :) oh well, I guess that's what comes with the yoga territory. But seriously it's really cool, next week we have the opportunity to volunteer at a burn victims recovery hospital to help them repair their damaged muscles. I also changed ManageMyMusic.com to VendThreads.com and have had quite a bit of business and am finishing up the website. PS websites are a pain to develop. It's basically screen printed and embroidered apparel for bands and businesses. It's fun and I am interested to see what will come of it. Other than that, just been playing a lot of golf and dating here and there. I did shoot my first legit 70 round this week on a par 72 course, the yoga really helps my back and balance so maybe if things continue to go well I'll be teeing off on the tour soon :) I'll be sure to send everyone a postcard.
