Here are a few more pics so you can see Axel's first haircut. He looks cute, but we want it to grow back. Here he is in the bathtub with his cousin max. The water was deeper, but Max's thighs displaced all the water.

The Latest

Here are some pics from the last couple weeks. Mom and dad came down one week for Alison's wedding, and then made the drive again the next weekend for Sharon's funeral. The morning after the funeral, in memory of Sharon, we (Me, Shalaine, Shalaine's brothers and sister and spouses, and mom and dad) did Sharon's favorite hike - the bump and grind. As you can see, mom was having a tough time but we made it to the top and all struck a Sharon pose. We did the hike much later in the day, (around 9am). She would do it at 4:30am and get up to the top in time to see the sunrise. 

Dad and I took Axel on a little ride on our beach cruisers around the golf course behind our house. Perfect weather and ride, except Axel didn't like riding through the sprinklers.

Turns out Axel is quite the exhibitionist. The last few times we've gone to get him in the morning or after his naps, this is what we've found...

Mom and dad were in town so we hung out with them in Carlsbad and Lawrence Welk this weekend and thy got their dose of Axel. He also went to Disneyland and met Goofy and to the beach with his cousin Max who apparently likes to eat sand. We also went to one of Shalaine's cousin's weddings.

Axel Videos

Here are a couple of new Axel videos. Mostly for the grandparents, but if you have a couple of hours to spare, you can watch them too. The first one is his first birthday celebration with Nana and Paga and some highlights of our last weekend down to Carlsbad with Stephanie and Eric and Max. The second video is his new favorite game "Ghost Man" (Cort came up with the name, Axel came up with the game). It's pretty funny but he does have a few bruises on his face to show for it. We just try to catch him before he plummets into the corner of the kitchen table.
